It feels busy – gift buying (ok mostly online), Christmas cards, small gatherings outside to see friends and family surrounded by Christmas lights. And a Christmas program at school, via video. It’s Christmas, David! By David Shannon, is a colorful, nicely illustrated book. It is filled with all sorts of emotions the children can understand. A bit of silly, combined with some bad behavior from David, draw the children right in.
I decided to follow up with the beautifully illustrated book, Away in a Manger, by Thomas Kinkade. The drawings are so pretty, I really just want to jump right into the book.
