You gladly accept it and read TACKY THE PENGUIN by Helen Lester, illustrated by Lynn Munsinger. I mean – why not? As you can probably guess, the children were delighted.
We learn that Tacky is an “odd bird”, but sometimes that is not a bad thing! (Right? Clearly Miss Library is an odd bird!)
After we read the book, we looked at a few more books about penguins.


We also march like Goodly, Lovely, Angel, Neatly and Perfect. Then we march like Tacky!





As you can tell – they did not have fun! 😉
In this story, I use my ukulele. Admission: it is kind of fun to “sing dreadfully”!
