GREEN EGGS AND HAM by Dr. Seuss.
We started our Dr. Seuss week with a wonderful parade. The Kindergarten class made a large birthday cake and Trufulla trees, and the TK class made a Dr. Seuss Hat (all made in maker space):
Every year, I swear I am going to choose another book for the week. Then I do this one. The children love it so much. AND when I actually eat the green eggs and ham – their reaction is so priceless that I want to do it every year. One day – I really am going to put a camera behind me so you can see their reaction.
Monday was the parade, and everyone wore green for Green Eggs and Ham day.
Tuesday was wear stripes day:
Of course we had a wacky Wednesday:
Thursday was One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish – wear red and blue:
Friday was crazy sock day:
During my after school classes, we had more fun with green eggs and ham. We flipped eggs to see what word (or letters for the younger children) was on the other side.
We then followed some of the rhyming words from Green Eggs and Ham and found… green eggs(with some slime inside)!
We also made plates of green eggs and ham:
We celebrated Dr. Seuss’s birthday:
We finished the afternoon with this book, My Many Colored Days:
