As long as I have “Jack” still hanging down from the library ceiling, I have to read this story. The children love it. We have so much fun, stomping and acting out being the giant in the book.
Five magic beans!
Fee, fi, fo, fum!
And of course we STOMP (our vocabulary word)!
He has a lot of gold coins. I have a few, but not 135,091! LOL
Who wouldn’t want a goose who can lay golden eggs?
I played some harp music for the children during this part of the story:
Goodbye to that giant!
Each child took home a magic bean…will it grow?
My afternoon classes actually climbed up a beanstalk to the Giant’s castle:
We found gold, the goose, golden eggs and the harp!
We found some clues that the giant was around and maybe heard some noises…
…so we quickly ran down the beanstalk and got our axes!
