If you don’t know Doreen Cronin and Click, Clack Moo – you need to go look that book up now. They are cute, clever and funny books. The kind that are just as fun for the adults to read as the children. This one does not disappoint.

Our vocabulary word (no, it is not a candy bar hahah):

Farm animals eating pizza?

And pigs getting bubbles baths?

We always stop here to count the pizza boxes.

They are watching “The Sound of Moosic”.

I think some of the animals might be “snickering”.

We see clues that Farmer Brown was in Hawaii. We all agree, we think that he will put Duck into time out. And take away the pencil!

After we read the book, I played farm animal sounds. The children had to listen and guess the animal.

On the projector:

Farm week was so much fun. Ms. Music and the children sang Old MacDonald. Next door in maker space, they made farm habitats for their animals. And some of our teachers put together this amazing room, full of farm themed activities.

The highlight of the week was the visit from farm animals!

All week long the children also got to visit our chicks. They are getting so big, after just one week!

In my after school classes, we had a nice visit with the chicks. We then made some chickens. Our chickens even laid eggs!

We also talked about what really belongs on a farm. Pizza??? If you were duck with a pencil what note would you have written?

We also read this book. Probably my all time favorite farm animal book.

We also ran into a little problem. We realized that all of our “sheep” got out of the pen. We had to go searching for them. When we found them, we had to get them safely back to the library.

Each child took home two farm animals to name, and take care of at home.

Farmer Library and Berto “the pig” (have you ever been kissed by a pig?) approve of this book.
