“We’ve got spirit, yes we do. We’ve got spirit how about you?”
The first day of school can be so exciting! We all wake up, get dressed, have breakfast and zip up our backpacks. (We were able to also make some fun noises with this book).
The first day can also be a little scary. We might offer a friend a hug.
If we are nervous, breathing like this can help! (And yes – we practiced it).
We love to sing.
Of course we love a story!!
And there is nothing better than a hug at the end of the day.
Each child received a pom pom and a cheer to celebrate the SPIRIT of our school!

Next door in maker space, they made some really fun things to cheer us all on.
