We started our annual Dr. Seuss Week off with our parade — and the children always love it. It’s such a festive way to kick off the week. Dr. Seuss spirit fills the air!

Every day has a different theme, which makes the week so much fun! The excitement really engages the children — and hopefully leads them right into the wonderful world of Dr. Seuss books.

Some really fun artwork too.

It would not be Dr. Seuss week for us without green eggs and ham!

This week, we don’t have a vocabulary word – but a name. Since most people don’t know Dr. Seuss’s real name.

I like to do this next part with a beat. The children tap (and usually say along).

Of course – I must try the green eggs and ham!

The children do not believe it is real, so I let them smell it. Yes- I not only eat it – but I like it! Hahah – I wish you could see their faces!

During my after school classes, we looked at some of the words from Green Eggs and Ham. We then went on a hunt for them!

We also played with this. Great for gross motor skills.
