Another classic tale, this story is repetitive and easy for the children to remember. Wonderful for language, pre-literacy skills, brain development, creativity AND just fun!

After the story we used this cute little set to retell the story (and they will stay in the library for the next few weeks for the children to continue with storytelling):

“Not by the hair of my chinny chin chin!”

On the projector, a country road where the pigs built their houses?

Next door, Maker Space incorporated the story by building houses for the pigs:

We had more fun playing during my after school classes. First we had to follow wolf prints(a wolf broke into our school!) to rescue the pigs that he stole!

Once we rescued our pigs, we brought them back to play with this:

We did some knocking and huffing and puffing:

We also had to figure out how to build a house for our pigs using toothpicks and Dots. We might have eaten a few Dots while we worked on this…

Who could be behind these masks?
