A simple fun Easter book. I had planned this book months ago, and surreptitiously it was the book I needed for B’s transition (to becoming the Easter Bunny).

Just like Santa, we know The Easter Bunny needs help as well.

There go the helper bunnies to our houses!

Our vocabulary word:

After we read the story, we became bunnies. Play this song – I promise you – I am not sure I have met a child yet who does not love this song! Sleeping bunnies, hopping bunnies.

On the projector:

For my after school class this week, we read this book. It reminds us of the hope and the new life of Easter.

We looked at the new life coming soon at our school. We candled the eggs (the chicks will be hatching soon!). We looked at the caterpillars which will soon turn into butterflies, and the tadpoles which will turn into frogs.

We also read this cute little book.

We made “jumping bunnies”.

And beautiful Easter eggs.

We also went outside (oops forgot to take photos!), we wondered if we could find the Easter Bunny’s door? We did not find it, but all agreed to look in our own backyards.

It is with such heavy heart that I have to tell you about Beatrix. I guess it was just his time. I love the idea that he will be helping the Easter Bunny, and since the Easter Bunny seems to be getting a little older and more tired, he could soon BE the Easter Bunny. Forever connected to this wonderful mystical holiday of Easter that brings us joy and hope.
You will always be in our hearts.

A Berto and Beatrix the Easter Bunny approved book!
