Our school police officer came by and showed us his uniform and talked to us about his job. We found all of the above on his uniform.

Our vocabulary word:

We found our police officer’s patch!

If we ever get lost, we can find a police officer to help us. They will find our family. We just need to look for them – wearing their uniform.

Sometimes police officers need to help direct traffic.

We practiced directing traffic!

Watch out – we don’t want a ticket…

…unless it is a good one like this! 🙂 (Each child took one home).

Police officers get around in all sorts of different ways. And don’t forget, a siren means move out of the way. They are rushing to help someone.

Some police officers have dogs to help them.

JUST ASK. We want to make sure our children are reminded not to be afraid of police officers. They are our friends.

On the projector:

Our police officers brought in some friends and police vehicles. What a fun way to understand more about our beloved community helpers.

We thanked our police officers too:

These police officers approve of this book!

Officer Berto and Officer Olivia say thank you to all of our brave police officers that keep us safe everyday!
