We had some Halloween fun this week.
The illustrations of this book are so wonderful and colorful, the children love it.
You have to like a witch that reads – even seed catalogs.

She plants a pumpkin seed. She waters and weeds. Then it grows and grows and grows some more! Will it be big or small?

Look how big it is. Did you know that pumpkins grow on vines?

We had fun saying the word “drat” (which rhymes with sat) with all of the characters.

We heard the word boasted three times in the story. Our vocabulary word:

The characters all laugh at the bat. How could someone so small pull the pumpkin off of the vine?

TEAMWORK!
The bat pulls the mummy, the mummy pulls the vampire, the vampire pulls the ghost, the ghost pulls the witch, the witch pulls the pumpkin. Will it work?

Do you you like Pumpkin Pie?

She wants to do it again next year!

The children loved my witch finger!

Witch fun on the projector:

There was more pumpkin fun next door in Maker Space.

The science class rolled pumpkins. Will the bigger pumpkin be faster than the smaller one?

Some cute Halloween artwork in the hallway.
