Featuring Mother Goose and Friends by Ruth Sanderson.
Mother Goose began by reading the story of Humpty Dumpty. She truly believed that once he fell, he was never put back together again… but she was wrong! In the end, Humpty was put back together—and that’s where this wonderful story begins. How Humpty Dumpty got back up again.

Mother Goose told the children she kept telling Humpty Dumpty not to sit on that wall! But he did, and he fell, and it changed his life.
Our vocabulary word: grand.

It is all about the bandaids for this age. Hahah.

Mother Goose explained the meaning of being “afraid of heights”.

Humpty was so scared of that wall after falling.

“Then one day, an idea flew by…”. The children made paper airplanes a few weeks ago in Maker Space, so they knew exactly what this was.

Humpty had his setbacks, but continued to try and try!

After trying so hard – look what he made!

His paper airplane landed on the top of the wall. OH NO.
He decided to conquer his fear and climb back up the ladder to get it. He worked too hard on that plane, and realized that he was missing out on his life due to his fears.
One step at a time. He was terrified!

But he did it! We were so proud of him.

What is happening?

Wow! He learned how to fly! Mother Goose explained to the children that sometimes when something bad happens, and you try, and work through your fears, unexpected, wonderful things can happen.

On the projector:

This is how mother goose came to school. Her goose was running around the school all week with Mr Ticklebottom. Her goose left feathers everywhere.

Mother Goose kept the Humpty Dumpty theme going during the after school classes. The children put him back together again with bandages.

They also made their own Humpty Dumpty with a brick wall.

They colored a coloring sheet as they repeated the rhyme.

Print it here:
Mother Goose took the children outside to see what it must have been like for Humpty Dumpty. He sat on the wall. He had a great fall! We are not sure how he was ever put together again.

Of course the children had to fly paper airplanes.

Mother Goose and Berto approve of this book. What a wonderful Growth Mindset book of resilience, conquering fear and perseverance!
