This week we read another classic Aesop fable. The older children were able to begin understanding the moral behind the story, while for the younger children I simply focused on introducing the story itself.
It is a wonderful story for opening up conversations about honesty, lying, and the consequences our choices can have.

Our vocabulary word:

The wolf!

On the projector:

We read this version during my after school classes:

We then acted out the story with these little puppets (the students each took home their own set):

We also read another wolf story. The classic tale of Peter and the Wolf.

We acted out all of the characters (to the music).

We then sat down and listened to this recording while coloring. I highly recommend listening to this. (You might just have to remind your child that it is not real – because the music makes it a little scary.)

Another very exciting this happened at school this week. A very big wedding! Q and U got married! What fun. We wish them all of the best. ( I just wish I had better photos. Honestly it was the cutest thing ever!). There was a minister (real!), bridesmaids and groomsmen. The bride walked down the aisle to beautiful music. The ceremony was meaningful, because as you know Q cannot do much without his partner U.

The reception.

The children attending made “wedding bells” in Maker Space to celebrate the bride and groom.
