THE HARE AND THE TORTOISE

Are they cousins?

We think the tortoise is saying “I can do it!”:

Beatrix sleeps after eating a lot too! (Sometimes with his eyes open)

SLOW AND STEADY WINS THE RACE!

We decided that sometimes we need to be like a tortoise and go slow and steady, and sometimes we need to be like a hare and go fast. We talked about when we might really need to be a tortoise, like coloring and handwriting.

We practiced going slow like a turtle and fast like a hare to this song:

If we had time, we also had a little race in the library:

My after school classes colored these masks and we had a lot of fun acting out the story.
